Translation of written documents at the Centre Intégré Universitaire de Santé et de Services Sociaux de la Capitale-Nationale.

This project was led by Malgorzata Golygowska and its objective was to:
- Establish an overview of translation practices in the Capitale-Nationale region
- Identify the best practices adopted by other CISSS
- Identify the challenges faced by other regions
- Identify best practices used in the public and private sectors
- Evaluate the needs of CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale
- Propose the best alternative for current needs
After conducting the study on the translation of documents in circulation at Jeffery Hale – Saint Brigid’s, which is part of CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale, the report concluded that there is sufficient need to hire a dedicated translation resource. The addition of a translator to the team would reduce external translation costs, improve the quality of translated texts within CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale and ensure a register of translated documents that would facilitate access to all documentation already translated into English.
